About Travel Social Work Coaching
This program is for novice or experienced travel social workers. My coaching program provides a unique and personalized program to help each individual reach their travel social work goals.
The Travel Social Work Coaching Program
This program includes a Travel Social Work Readiness Assessment to determine your confidence in your skillset. We will work together to determine the goals of your individualized coaching program. If it is determined that you have the skillset to start the process we can discuss the details of a coaching package where I will provide support throughout the process of you working towards your goals.
The Coaching Sessions:
We will start with a free 30-minute consultation.
The first five sessions are 45-minutes long.
Session 1: In this session, we will review what you need to start the application process. We will review a document checklist that will be provided to you to ensure you have all of the documents you need to get started.
Next, we will decide what type of travel assignments you would like and locate the agency that staffs those types of assignments. We will also determine the date you will be able to start an assignment, and how to communicate with recruiters.
Session 2: This session will include a resume review and advice on how to make your resume stand out from the rest.
Session 3: During this session, we will review assignments that you would like to be considered for, and evaluate whether or not these assignments are the right fit for you.
Session 4: This session will include interview preparation. We will review questions you should ask during the phone interview and questions the interviewer may ask you during the phone interview. We will prepare you to present yourself as a knowledgeable and competent travel social worker during interviews.
Session 5: Once you have verbally accepted an assignment we will review the contract. We will also discuss how to complete compliance documents in a timely manner and how to locate housing that meets your needs. During this session, we will also review the pros and cons of accepting company housing vs. receiving a housing stipend, what to pack, and more.
The last two sessions are 15-minute sessions.

Session 6: This session will take place the weekend prior to the start of an assignment. We will discuss first-day jitters and self-care techniques.

Session 7: This session will take place in the middle of your assignment. We will discuss your goals and whether or not you are planning to extend the current contract or obtain a new assignment.
